I’m using OS X Yosemite 10.10.5
I know that running FontForge on OS X requires XQuartz.app (or X11.app?).
If I
cd /Applications/Utilities
ls
the listing includes XQuartz.app
But if I open /Applications/Utilities in the Finder, I see X11.app instead of XQuartz.app.
What’s happening here?
***
The instructions at http://fontforge.github.io/en-US/downloads/mac/
tell me to launch XQuartz (in /Applications/Utilities/) and turn off
the “Enable keyboard shortcuts under X11” (or “Enable key
equivalents under X11”) option. But when I launch
XQuartz.app and try to open and change the preferences,
the XQuartz window disappears very quickly, replaced by
the Finder.
What am I doing wrong?
Thanks,
Ken
