[fontforge-users] Kerning not visible in the metrics window

Hi!

I'm new to Fontforge, and have been working on a new font for the past week.
However, I come across a very weird problem (and an easy solution, I think).

After setting all the bearings, I tried to add some kerning pairs. First
single pairs, later classes of pairs. However, it seems I am unable to make
the kerning 'stick' to the font. Whenever I generate a font, but also when
looking at the specific kerning pairs in the metrics window, the kerned
pairs are in fact - not kerned.

Is there anyone who knows what I am doing wrong? I have added a screenshot
that might help.

Hi Dave, that explains a lot! Thanks for the quick reply.

Any idea on a time-scheme when this issue should be fixed? Unfortunately I
have a deadline for a first version of the kerned font coming up quickly,
and would like to know if I should temporarily switch software to kern the
font.
